Network Services Company (NETWORK), Rubbermaid Commercial Products and Heritage Bag congratulate the City of Birmingham Michigan on winning a free waste and recycling system for their facility. With the goals of reducing litter on public properties, increasing the efficiency of the waste collection process, and reducing total overall costs, NETWORK held a contest inviting select public agencies across the country to participate in a waste and recycling system assessment. Participating agencies were then entered into a drawing to win free Rubbermaid® waste and recycling receptacles and Heritage Bag can liners for their operation.
"NETWORK is proud to help the City of Birmingham improve their waste and recycling systems, and create a cleaner and more sanitary environment for its residents" remarked Frank Barretta, Vice President of Business Development for NETWORK.
In addition to the free waste and recycling receptacles and can liners, the City of Birmingham benefitted from NETWORK's waste and recycling system assessment. Nichols, the local NETWORK distributor, utilized this proprietary assessment tool to identify best practices, and recommend products and process improvements that the City of Birmingham can implement to create a cleaner and more appealing facility.
"By combining the NETWORK waste and recycling system assessment with the contest, we were able to bring real value to the City of Birmingham," said Michael Olthoff, President of Nichols.
