The Ashkin Group will begin a new program honoring those who have made significant strides to promote a healthier, cleaner, safer and more sustainability-focused environment, the cleaning industry-oriented consulting firm announced.
The Green Champions Awards program will be introduced at the ISSA Show North America 2019, Monday through Thursday in Las Vegas.
"These are leaders who have proven their commitment to protecting health and the environment," says Stephen Ashkin, president of The Ashkin Group. "They never stopped believing we can make this a better, healthier world today and for future generations."
This year’s Green Champions Awards Winners are the following:
- Gene Woodard, director of building services at the University of Washington
- Katy Severinsen, Aramark
- Kelly Martin, Green Sports Alliance
- Tracey Enger, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency
- William Balek, current general counsel and former director of environmental services at ISSA
“These are all great people — true champions,” says Ashkin. “It is an honor to recognize them for their work and dedication to environmental causes."
The awards ceremony will be held Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. at the ISSA Connections Corner.
