Red prize box with golden coins and confetti explosion

Tennant Company announced the launch of Custodians Are Key, a program the company will use to reward the great work K-12 custodians are doing in schools. The program, which will run the duration of the 2019-2020 school year, involves a $15,000 grand prize.

Tennant invites school administrators, teachers, and parents to nominate their custodians, three of whom will be chosen as finalists each quarter during the program. The finalists receive a $500 gift card. By May 20, Tennant will select a grand prize winner from a group of 12 finalists. The winner receives a prize valued at $5,000 while his or her school receives $10,000.

“We all know the important role school custodians play in the cleanliness of their schools, but day-to-day, they each make a difference in the lives of students, staff and teachers through personal connections or even a simple friendly smile,” says Lisa Kingsley, channel marketing manager at Tennant Company. “We wanted to recognize these custodians who make schools a happier, healthier and safer place to learn and work. That’s why we created the ‘Custodians Are Key program.’”

Tennant is seeking nominations of school custodians who are making their schools better, going above and beyond their daily jobs, and showing students and staff they care. Nominations can now be submitted at tennantco.com/custodian. Tennant will accept nominations for the first round of considerations until Nov. 1. The winning finalists from that grouping will be notified by Nov. 15.
