Ware Shoals School District announced that The O’Dell Corporation provided all ‘back to school’ supplies for Ware Shoals Primary students in grades 5K – 4th for the upcoming school year. Company executives presented the district with a check for $10,000 at a school board meeting.
“O’Dell has been our valued business partner for many years, supporting academic initiatives and athletic activities,” stated Dr. Fay Sprouse, Superintendent. “This year, the company wanted to help in a bigger way, and we are very grateful that they have chosen to invest in our students.”
Company president, John Stroud, said:
The O’Dell Corporation, being a dedicated member of the Ware Shoals community, understands the true importance education has in building a foundation for students to succeed in the workplace. It is our belief that the key to success is having the proper and appropriate tools. We would like to insure that each student at Ware Shoals Primary School is provided with the essentials needed to succeed and be prepared to start the new school year.
Many of these students, like their families before them, will one day return to this community and be the business leaders, teachers, scientists, and thinkers of not only Ware Shoals but our great state of South Carolina. We are excited to help in the spirit of “returning to the community” and are eager to see this community flourish with the young minds we hope to encourage and help.
The O’Dell Corporation is proud to continue a 70 year commitment to the Ware Shoals area. Our 159 associates participate in many civic activities and we are very proud of our teachers, administrators, and of course the children. We are truly honored to work with Ware Shoals Primary and Ware Shoals School District 51 on this important project.
