Osborn, supplier of industrial brushes, polishing compounds and buffs, hired Jon-Michael Raymond as private brand national account manager and appointed Brian S. Smith as its North American marketing manager.
 
As a national account manager, Raymond’s responsibilities include growing business within private brand and retail customers. Raymond holds a master’s in business administration from Assumption College and has more than seven years of experience in the industry. He has been a part of the “Emerging Leaders” and “New Membership Committee Task Force” committees through the Industrial Supply Association. Raymond hopes to grow and obtain new, profitable business in the private brand market and penetrate the retail side in the industrial marketplace.
 
“We are happy to welcome Jon-Michael and his talents to our team,” said Mark Johnson, vice president of sales and marketing at Osborn. “He is someone who is not only looking to grow sales, but grow sales at an above-target gross margin.”
 
Raymond currently lives in Fishers, Ind., with his wife and two children. He enjoys running, golfing, traveling and is an avid Boston sports fan.
 
As marketing manager, Smith’s responsibilities include overseeing marketing, advertising, public relations, promotions, trade shows, websites, packaging, trademarks and literature/catalogs. A graduate of Kent State University, Smith has more than 20 years of experience in the business-to-business marketing field. Smith hopes to develop deeper engagement with distributors and end-users and allow Osborn to provide unique solutions.

Smith currently lives in Concord, Ohio, with his wife and two children. He has served time in the U.S. Army, and when he’s not working, he is volunteering as a Cub Scout den leader and a baseball, basketball and softball coach.
