Penn Jersey Paper (PJP), Philadelphia, was named as one of Philly.com’s Top Workplaces.

“This award is credited to the hard work and dedication of our employees,” says Tom Furia, Jr., president and COO. “Our leadership team works hard to provide a positive culture of teamwork, and respect to all our associates and providing them with an employment experience grounded in clear communication and empowerment. We encourage our associates to ‘think customer’ in everything they do, and that does not just include our external customers, but also our internal customers, as well as our vendor community. In the end it is also important to take the time to celebrate the successes we achieved as a company as often as we can.”

This is the ninth consecutive year that PJP has made the Top Workplaces in the area.

The survey, conducted by Workplace Dynamics, asks the employees
of 39,000 small, mid-sized and large businesses in the Philadelphia region what they think of their employer. The highest scoring business in each category receive the honor of being named a Top Workplace.

“One of the most encouraging aspects of this Workplace Dynamic survey is that as a company, our ratings from our associates were higher in just about every category over the previous year,” says Furia, Jr. “This speaks volumes about our people, and the sustainability of our company culture.”
