Recent tests indicate that mobile phones are actually more contaminated than toilet seats. In fact, tests indicate that the phones carry up to 10 times the amount of pathogens, which have been known to cause nausea and upset stomachs.
According to Dr. Charles Gerba, professor of microbiology at the University of Arizona, bacteria is transmitted to phones because of the close contact between hands and mouths. Also because phones are often handled by various people and rarely get cleaned.
Dr. Gerba recommends routinely cleaning phones with an antibacterial substance every now and then to kill that bacteria.
