PortionPac Chemical Corporation announced that SFSPac Degreaser has met the criteria set forth by Green Seal to attain certification under the GS-37 standard. In meeting GS-37 (Cleaning Products for Industrial and Institutional Use), SFSPac Degreaser has surpassed the Standard’s strict environmental benchmarks and performs as well as or better than other cleaners in its class.
“Our ultimate goal was to offer a complete food safety and sanitation program that is 100 percent Green Seal certified and EPA-registered,” said PortionPac president Burt Klein. “We have realized this goal with the certification of SFSPac Degreaser; providing a truly unique sanitation program to our customers.”
Green Seal maintains the most rigorous voluntary environmental standards in the cleaning industry. Its comprehensive approach to certification involves evaluating every step of a product’s creation from manufacture to disposal. GS-37 criteria cover health and environmental impacts, functional performance, packaging materials, labeling, and training. The evaluation process includes review of data; assessment of promotional materials; and an on-site audit of manufacturing facilities.
The certification of SFSPac Degreaser by Green Seal conveys the benefits of a product that protects human and environmental health, conserves natural resources, reduces waste, and is proven effective for its intended use.
SFSPac Degreaser is a concentrated liquid detergent to be used for heavy duty cleaning and degreasing of fryers, hoods, ranges, floors and other difficult to clean surfaces. It joins SFSPac All Purpose Cleaner and SFSPac Pot & Pan Detergent in the PortionPac family of products already certified by Green Seal.
