PortionPac is pleased to announce that it is a 2014 recipient of the Hazardous Material Safety Award presented by partner INFOTRAC.

Awarded annually since 1991, INFOTRAC presents the Hazardous Material Safety Award to those companies that display exceptional care and responsibility toward hazardous material safety specific to their industry. Also taken into consideration for the award is the number of emergency calls INFOTRAC received in relation to hazardous material exposure during the previous 12 months.

“INFOTRAC considers PortionPac to be a first-class operation with a caring consideration for all individuals that utilize their products on a daily basis,” said Randy Lee, Director of Global Marketing, INFOTRAC. “We are so very happy to call them our client.”

PortionPac took an active and early role in providing emergency response information and resources to their customers. It was this philosophy that drove the timely development of education about the recent changes to the OSHA Hazard Communication Standard. The efforts have included comprehensive online courses and classroom instruction. Central to the curriculum are explanations of how the adoption of the United Nations Globally Harmonized System affects the sanitation worker’s “Right to Understand” hazard communication practices in the workplace.

In continual pursuit of the goal to deliver the highest standards of human health and safety, PortionPac is currently reviewing all formulations against the new Standard and using new technologies to develop even safer and better performing products. Caryn Stets, Marketing Director of PortionPac explains the motivation. “Our company is built on the desire to improve health and safety by connecting sustainability, accountability and cleaning. The OSHA HazCom Standard changes are an opportunity to act on our mission and provide our customers with even smarter solutions to their cleaning needs.”
