ProTeam, creators of backpack vacuums, announced the promotion of Matt Reimers as the new Vice President and General Manager. He will oversee all management aspects of the business, including short-term decision-making and long-term strategic planning.

“I am confident that Matt will thrive in this capacity and take ProTeam to new heights,” said Emerson Tool Company President Chad Severson, to whom Reimers will report. “I look forward to supporting Matt and his team as he expands on ProTeam’s already impressive legacy.”

Previously the Vice President of Sales and Business Development, Reimers managed all sales-related functions and sales personnel within the organization covering domestic, international, and specialty markets. Over the years, he built an intimate understanding of the relationships between manufacturers, distributors, and end users.

Reimers has been with ProTeam since 2000. Prior to that, he worked as a Manufacturer Representative for a variety of cleaning manufacturers. In addition to his personal history, Reimers’s family legacy is a cornerstone of ProTeam. His father, Mark Reimers, was a key figure in ProTeam’s success for over two decades.

Reimers holds a B.S. in Business Administration, a Juris Doctor law degree from The University of Colorado–Boulder, and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Arizona–Tucson.
