Excitement is mounting for announcement of the winner of the first edition of the “Product of the Year,” the new award from the organizers of the Verona international trade show, PULIRE 2019, created to recognize the research conducted by companies in the professional cleaning sector as well as market approval. The award ceremony will be held today, the first day of PULIRE 2019.
The first edition of the new prize has attracted attention in all product areas: nine products submitted belong to the Machinery category; six in Equipment; seven in Products and Accessories for the Environment; five in Cleaning, Maintenance and Disinfecting Products; three in IT services; two in Parts, and finally, the Accessories category received one product nomination, for a total of 33 nominations (from 18 Italian and 15 international companies). The products were made by 25 manufacturers – 14 Italian and 11 international (Germany, China, the US, the Netherlands, Slovakia), also participating in the PULIRE 2019 event as either exhibitors or co-exhibitors.
Selection of the prize winners was based on quality, reliability, environmental compatibility, ergonomic efficiency and convenience, all different qualities but each equally important, since they represent the traits buyers are looking for.
Objectives of the international recognition are to “stimulate, incentivize and promote the study and commitment of companies in research and in results, supported in the idea of this Prize, while understanding how important the market response is.”
The judges selected for the panel also reflect this idea, says Toni D’Andrea: “The characteristics and professional skills of the panel judges represent an added value to the Award and, by consequence, to the show itself.”
Members of the international panel formed to select the winner include Toni D’Andrea, Paul Goldin, Michel de Bruin, Tibor Ritz, Virna Re and Cássia Almeida.
PULIRE is a pioneering industry event and has held an “Innovation Award” for the last 10 editions and 20 years. This prize recognizes the efforts and progress made by manufacturers in the area of innovation.
