PURE Bioscience, Inc., announced it has engaged James McClenahan as a business development executive targeting key accounts in the janitorial and facilities services industries.
Michael L. Krall, President and CEO of PURE Bioscience, said, “James brings to PURE more than 20 years of senior leadership experience in strategic planning, sales force management, operations and new business development. James most recently served as Division President of GCA Services Group, a leading facility services company. We have determined that the majority of our markets for PURE Hard Surface - including hospitals and schools - are most efficiently reached through full-service janitorial suppliers, and James has the leadership and relevant experience to accelerate our sales in key market channels.
“In addition to the business James is developing, we are making strides in other channels for PURE Hard Surface, and as a result, we have been ramping up production to meet expected increasing demand. We are positioned to turn purchase orders into shipments on a same-day or next-day basis,” Krall added.

Throughout his career McClenahan built top-performing sales teams and developed profitable new business in executive roles as Senior Vice President Sales and Marketing for APAC Customer Services; President, Latin America Region for Danka Office Imaging and Senior Vice President Central Region Sales for the Business Services Division of Office Depot. McClenahan received his bachelor’s in business administration degree from James Madison University.
