R3 Reliable Redistribution Resource, a supplier of food packaging, disposable supplies, and cleaning and safety products to distributors in the foodservice, janitorial/sanitation, industrial/safety and healthcare industries, was named to the steering committee of the new Technomic Foodservice Category Management Institute.
Launched with the support of the global Category Management Association, the Institute will produce tools for foodservice industry participants to succeed in a category management-driven environment, according to a company release.
“We are delighted that R3 has joined our Institute,” says Barry Friends, executive director of the Technomics Foodservice Category Management Institute. “The company’s size, reach and first-hand experience in collaborative category management in foodservice and other channels makes R3 an ideal steering committee member.”
R3 is one of eight industry-leading companies selected by Technomic to serve on the committee. All committee members are a part of the operator, distributor, broker and manufacturer communities serving the foodservice industry.
“We are honored that Technomic invited our company to be a member of the Institute’s steering committee,” says R3 President Earl Engleman. “The foodservice industry is going through some growing pains, and we want to help the foodservice supply chain community navigate these challenges to their advantage. By contributing our category management knowledge, we can help enhance the discipline for the benefit of our vendors, our redistribution customers and their customers.”
