Passengers at the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL) are enjoying a more enhanced traveling experience thanks to a restroom attendant program implemented by Sunshine Cleaning Systems, Inc.
“Passenger traffic at the airport will be increasing week to week due to the holiday rush from both cruise ship and holiday vacation travel,” said Bruce Walker, Project Manager Sunshine. “We are taking extraordinary measures to ensure that passengers are welcomed with a smile and spotless, well-maintained restrooms.”
Sunshine closely monitors FLL’s daily flight schedules and dispatches cleaning staff to the various terminals and concourses accordingly. At FLL, the company will field an additional 28 employees during peak arrival and departure times with its proven restroom attendant program. All employees will continue to wear their neat navy blue uniforms and, of course, big smiles.
“It’s hard to fathom, but many of the airport restrooms receive more than 350 passengers each hour,” said Walker. “We know from our experience at Charlotte Douglas International Airport (CLT) that implementing dedicated restroom attendants during peak hours when incoming and outgoing flights are busiest, the facilities remain cleaner and well stocked with hand towels and toilet tissue, resulting in happier passengers.”
Sunshine’s performance is graded by the Airport Service Quality program (ASQ) with the restrooms being one of the two graded areas. The program has shown improved customer experiences as well as provided safer facility for all users.
