SCA announced that its chairman Sverker Martin-Löf has been inducted into the Paper Industry International Hall of Fame at its 19th annual ceremony, earlier this month.

Martin-Löf is recognized for his contributions in the leadership category. As one of Sweden’s most renowned industrialists, he has played a key role in a number of Swedish industries, including pulp and paper. He was president and CEO of SCA from 1990-2002 and has been chairman since 2002.

In addition to SCA, Martin-Löf is currently chairman of Industrivärden, one of the Nordic region’s leading holding companies, which includes investments in companies such as SCA, Handelsbanken, Sandvik, Volvo, Ericsson, SSAB, Skanska and ICA Group. Martin-Löf is also chairman of SSAB as well as vice-chairman of Ericsson and Handelsbanken and a board member of Skanska.
 
The Paper Industry International Hall of Fame recognizes individuals who, through their inventions, initiative and efforts, have built or improved paper and allied industries worldwide. The 2013 inductees are from the United States, Finland, Germany, and Sweden. The Paper Industry International Hall of Fame is housed within the Paper Discovery Center, which is located in the historic Atlas Mill on the Fox River in Appleton.
 
Martin-Löf and five other paper industry notables joined the roster of 111 previously inducted honorees of the Paper Hall of Fame during ceremonies at the Radisson Paper Valley Hotel in Appleton, Wisconsin. More than 200 people attended the event.
