SMS Assist, a provider of facility management services, announced a five-year contract expansion with Family Dollar Stores to provide maintenance services to the retailer’s more than 7,900 locations

The deal increases SMS Assist’s scope of work from floor care and exterior services to include facilities maintenance, giving SMS Assist responsibility for day-to-day services as well as periodic maintenance, including snow removal, landscaping and parking lot care.

Colin McGinnis, Family Dollar senior vice president-store operations, says the partnership will enhnace the shopping experience for the chain's customers.
