Sally R. Moore Selected for Pinnacle Award Lifetime Achievement

The Simon Institute is pleased to announce Sally R. Moore has been selected to receive the prestigious PINNACLE AWARD for 2016. The PINNACLE AWARD is recognition for “Outstanding Contributions to the Cleaning Industry and the (OS1) Process.” It is the only peer review award in the cleaning industry that is recognized among organizations benchmarking best practices.

Nearly 200 organizations and several hundred leaders were represented in the polling by the Simon Institute. They selected Moore to honor her industry-wide contributions.

Currently, Moore is the Associate Director of Custodial Services in the Facilities Services Department at The University of Texas at Austin. During Sally’s tenure, The University of Texas at Austin program has been awarded numerous Best in the Cleaning Industry AwardsTM including Best Cleaning Program, Best Training Program, Best Workloading Program and Best Custodial Safety Program and Peer Influence Award.

Under Sally’s leadership a pioneering cleaning worker ergonomic program was instituted. The program jointly developed with the Kinesiology Department developed a daily cleaning worker warm-up regimen customized to support the physical movements of the Cleaning staff.

Sally will receive the PINNACLE AWARD at the Cleaning Industry Awards Banquet during the Simon Institute Symposium, Albuquerque, New Mexico on Monday, August 1, 2016. The award will be presented by Jim Alty the 2013 PINNACLE AWARD honoree.
