Sapphire’s Sales Account Manager Bryan Thomson has earned the ISSA Certification Expert (I.C.E.) and I.C.E.-GB (Green Buildings) designations.

Offered by ISSA, I.C.E. certification demonstrates an individual’s readiness to provide training and consulting services to cleaning organizations interested in complying with ISSA’s Cleaning Industry Management Standard (CIMS).

Through the certification process, Thomson has demonstrated a thorough knowledge of ISSA’s cleaning management standards and can assist organizations in implementing more efficient cleaning processes and quality control standards.

Thomson notes that the I.C.E.-GB (Green Building) designation is intended “to help meet the growing demand for the U.S. Green Building Council's Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification.”

On March 1, 2012, Thomson also achieved Certified Instructor status from the Cleaning Management Institute’s Custodial Technician Training Program. This training, which Thomson completed at both the basic and advanced levels, allows Thomson to administer CMI’s “Train the Trainer” certification course.

The certifications from these two organizations (ISSA and CMI) give Thomson a comprehensive understanding of the unique challenges and daily requirements that professional cleaners and building service contractors face. This also gives Thomson an opportunity to work with cleaning organizations as a consultant to help them improve their cleaning capabilities and efficiency through understanding and instituting best practice procedures as well as principles of “Cleaning for Health,” which can help to improve a company’s bottom line.
