Horizon Science Academy in Lorain, Ohio is expected to return to classroom learning until the second quarter of its 2020-2021 school year, but that doesn't mean it's going to lay off the gas until then when it comes to cleaning.
The school has hired Cleveland-based Anago Cleaning Systems to help its in-house custodial staff clean and disinfect its grounds, reports WOIO in Cleveland. Together, the cleaning professionals will clean and disinfect high-touch surfaces and more to better ensure the health of the approximately 800 students, as well as faculty and staff.
Wayne Lewis of Anago tells WOIO something that the cleaning industry has tried to make clear for sometime: There's a difference between cleaning and disinfecting. Anago knows to clean to remove the germs before disinfecting to kill what remains.
In addition to traditional cleaning and disinfecting practices, the Horizon Science Academy is using electrostatic sprayers, which are becoming more popular among cleaning professionals.
