The program has extended its reach to engage professionals throughout the state and the country.
Salt Lake City School District is also known for its award-winning integrated pest management (IPM) program. IPM is a pest management strategy that minimizes the use of toxic pesticides.
The program at Salt Lake City district came the attention of the state board of health, and helped to influence state legislation called the IPM School Rule, which mandates that state school districts employ an IPM strategy.
