STOKO Professional Skin Care is preparing to celebrate the “Big Five-Oh” of one of its most time-tested and popular products, STOKOLAN Classic skin care cream.
Those around for the introduction of STOKOLAN in 1963 witnessed an event-packed year, from the escalation of the Cold War, to military conflict in Vietnam, to the assassination of a United States President. It also marked the British invasion in rock music by a new band named The Beatles, and it was the year one well-spoken minister delivered his famous “I have a dream” speech.
Since 1963, STOKOLAN has been keeping working skin healthy by providing regenerative moisturizing for skin stressed by harsh working environments. The longstanding success of STOKOLAN reflects STOKO’s commitment in using only the best ingredients in all its formulations without compromise.
“Our quality ingredients truly set STOKOLAN apart from other hand creams available in the market,” states Ron Shuster, product line director for STOKO. “While the formulation has been modernized over the years to comply with revisions to cosmetics laws and new scientific findings, this time-honored product has continued to maintain a huge, loyal base of users simply because of its outstanding performance.”
It is no wonder that STOKO Professional Skin Care has chosen this fiftieth anniversary to debut both a new modern look for all its packaging as well as a simplification of product names. The overall re-branding initiative will begin to be seen in the market in late 2013, starting with flagship product STOKOLAN, and continue throughout 2014.
“As STOKOLAN is so well known in the market, we will build upon the equity of the name,” explains Lori Huffman, senior marketing manager for STOKO North America. “All our skin recovery products will be branded under the STOKOLAN banner, with four products of varying intensity offered: STOKOLAN Classic, STOKOLAN Hand and Body, STOKOLAN Sensitive and STOKOLAN Intense Moisturizer.”
The new packaging design will continue its color coding and include application tips and ingredient information to facilitate product selection and use.
While STOKOLAN may be old enough to qualify for AARP membership, its performance over a half-century proves that classics never fall out of style.
