Registration for SC Johnson Professional’s Happy Hands dispenser design contest is now open. The contest promotes the importance of handwashing and sanitizing at school by encouraging K-12 students to use their creative skills and imagination to design a custom soap/sanitizer dispenser. Schools can enter the contest online at https://happyhands.scjp.com now through Nov. 30.
“With hand hygiene now being more important than ever, it’s critical to keep it top of mind in schools,” says Mike Flagg, head of SC Johnson Professional’s North American business, in a press release. “The Happy Hands contest allows students to express their artistic side while still learning the importance of having clean, healthy hands and preventing the spread of germs.”
The Happy Hands dispenser design contest is open to all K-12 schools in the 50 United States or the District of Columbia. Each student may submit one dispenser design. The first 50 teachers to submit 15 or more student designs will receive a prize basket that includes a variety of SC Johnson products to keep classrooms clean and organized, such as SC Johnson Professional Hand Sanitizer, Refresh Azure FOAM hand soap, Ziploc brand Bags, Windex Multi-Surface Disinfectant Sanitizer Cleaner and much more.
There will be two categories for elementary and middle/high school. Submissions will be evaluated for visual appeal, overall hand hygiene design, creativity and unique design elements. Designs must be submitted via mail and postmarked by Nov. 30. Finalists in the elementary and middle/high school categories will be announced on Feb. 2, 2021 and the public can then vote for their favorite designs. Voting closes on Feb. 28, 2021 at 11:59 p.m. ET. See below for contest rules.
The official grand prize winner announcement will be made in April 2021. The design with the most votes in each category will receive the top prize, which includes $1,000 for the two grand prize winners’ school, a $300 gift card for each student, and up-to 1,000 manual soap/sanitizer dispensers featuring the winning design.
