Sodexo announced that it’s been added to Seramount’s sixth annual Inclusion Index. Sodexo was among 42 organizations recognized as a Leading Inclusion Index Company out of 160 organizations that applied to participate.
“We are honored to be recognized by Seramount. Inclusion is at the heart of everything we do,” says Tony Tenicela, chief diversity, equity, and inclusion Officer for Sodexo North America shared. “We hold ourselves accountable to our team members' experience and encourage them to be authentic at work, allowing our employees to thrive.”
Sodexo aims to create a workplace where everyone can act, belong, and thrive. Sodexo adopts a comprehensive approach to fostering inclusivity throughout the organization, ensuring that inclusive practices are embedded at all levels, from executives to frontline employees. This strategy is supported by initiatives such as Employee Business Resource Groups (EBRGs), which reinforce the company's commitment to making inclusion a top priority.
“We take immense pride in the effectiveness of DEI best practices among our Inclusion Index organizations,” says Katie Oertli Mooney, managing director of Seramount. “These organizations — like Sodexo — consistently raise the bar on building and sustaining inclusive workplaces with their unwavering commitment, even in the face of today’s DEI backlash.”
The Inclusion Index provides organizations the metrics needed to understand trends and opportunities in demographic representation, creates a road map to drive internal change, and identifies DEI solutions to close any gaps. Organizations provided data and were measured in three key areas: best practices in the recruitment, retention, and advancement of people from underrepresented groups — women, racial/ethnic groups, people with disabilities, and LGBTQ+ people; inclusive company culture; and demographic diversity.
