Spartan Chemical Company, Inc., manufacturer of sustainable cleaning and sanitation solutions for the industrial and institutional market, announced the following changes to their Board of Directors: effective July 22, 2014, Scott Libbe was promoted to Chief Financial Officer and Justin Black has been elected to the role of Treasurer.

Scott Libbe began his career with Spartan in 1982 as the Accounting/Taxation Supervisor. In 1986 he was promoted to Controller. Scott became a member of the Board of Directors in 2004 in the capacity of Treasurer. He has continued in that position until his recent promotion to Chief Financial Officer.

Justin Black began his career with Spartan in 2004 as Controller and has grown in that position over the past ten years. Justin’s recent election to the Board of Directors will have him continuing in his role of Controller and serving as Treasurer of the Board. Prior to his employment at Spartan, Justin was an external auditor for Spartan through Arthur Andersen and Ernst & Young for seven years.
