A number of important figures in the cleaning industry will speak at the 2019 Simon Institute Symposium, Oct. 7 to Oct. 9 at the Westgate Resort in Park City, Utah.
Jeff Hawkins, custodial services supervisor, Provo City School District, Provo, Utah will give a presentation on how to train and support frontline supervisors.
A roundtable discussion will touch on the best health and safety practices for companies and how to promote these practices. Speakers include: Rich Sternberg, ProTeam; Caryn Stets, PortionPac Chemical; Nancy Albin, LAHH; Enrico Garcia, Sandia National Labs; Alan Wagemester, GMI Integrated Facility Solutions.
Dan Weltin, editor-in-chief of Contracting Profits and Sanitary Maintenance magazines will provide a report on cleaning costs and frequencies.
Finally, Kelly Atkinson of Rotary International will lead an event that will allow professionals to gather and benchmark best practices, discuss the successes and challenges of implementing a standardized management system into their cleaning organizations and learn from other industry thought leaders.
The annual event is a gathering of (OS1) users, members of the Cleaning Alliance and other cleaning industry representatives.
