State Industrial Products celebrated its 105th Anniversary November 11, 2016. The Company was founded on this date in1911 in Cleveland, Ohio and has remained located in Northeast Ohio for over a century.
“I am proud and honored to be part of an exceptional team of people who have worked hard to fulfill a very simple plan for 105 years: to provide the very best products possible while keeping customer service foremost. said Seth Uhrman, fourth generation CEO.
State Industrial Products was founded in Cleveland Ohio by Jay Zucker to manufacture and sell maintenance chemicals. The original product, Formula 1 Sweeping Compound, was immediately successful, finding use in the many industrial plants in the Cleveland area. In 1941 the business was expended into a reconfigured abandoned church on Superior Avenue in Cleveland. Today the State Industrial Products headquarters are located in Mayfield Heights, Ohio with its primary chemical manifesting plant in Hebron Ohio. State Industrial is a leading developer of industrial and institutional odor control technologies, advanced drain and sewer maintenance products and a full range of cleaning and maintenance products.
With over $135 million in sales, State Industrial Products is one of the largest privately-held suppliers to the industrial and institutional marketplace in North America. A manufacturer with facilities throughout the United States, Canada and Puerto Rico, State Industrial Products offers over one thousand products and continues to set the industry standard in product development, service and innovation.
“Being headquartered in Cleveland, OH – the heart of US manufacturing for decades – has provided State with its most valuable resource for years: a deep talent pool that has helped to guide our continued growth, competitiveness and technological advances. As we expanded to other markets – production in Columbus, OH, international sales offices in Puerto Rico and Canada, as well as distribution centers throughout the US, I continue to reflect on how fortunate we have been to compete and thrive for 105 years. This fuels our momentum as we charge ahead into our 106th year,” continued Uhrman.
