The cliche saying states that “a picture is worth a thousand words.” Well, if that holds true than the students at Seaman High School have a lot of great things to say about one of their custodians.

Art students at the Topeka, Kansas high school worked together to draw a massive portrait of custodian Kendall Eppserson as part of their “Unsung Hero” project, reports WIBW-TV.

To complete the heartfelt project, students photographed Epperson, a longtime custodian at the school, which he graduated form in 1981. They then divided the portrait into several sections, so that each student would be assigned to complete a portion of the picture themselves.

The students unveiled the portrait on Friday, with each of them reading to Epperson something they enjoy about him.

There’s plenty of instances in which students across America will do something fantastic to show their custodians just how much they are appreciated. One great example of this are the students at Tamarack Elementary School in Owensboro, Kentucky, who in February held a pep rally in honor of their favorite custodian, “(Mr. Ricky) Young.”
