Immigrants that flee to Canada have commented that they are happy living in the country, but have experienced difficulties finding jobs that they are able to live on. According to Vancouver 24 Hours, a Canadian study revealed that 84 percent of immigrants feel they made the right decision in migrating to Canada, but many have experienced challenges.
"Of the people admitted to Canada under its economic immigration program, more than half said they had difficulty finding an adequate job. Many said it was because local employers wouldn't accept their foreign credentials."
As a result, many immigrants were forced to take lower paid jobs to make money, but quickly realized they didn't pay the bills. Canada's federal government is in the process of developing a new agency that will deal with foreign credential recognition to help these immigrants.
