TEAM Software Inc., a provider of technology solutions for the contract building service and security industries, has named John Leiferman as the new president of the company. Leiferman will succeed Frank Labedz in the role. Labedz, who co-founded TEAM Software in 1988 and has served as president and CEO since the company’s incorporation in 1989, will continue as CEO into 2016 and then remain involved with the company as chairman of the board.

“Our search for a new president took about two years because we were looking for a unique combination of dynamic leadership skills, relevant experience and a culture fit with our employee-owned company,” said Labedz. “John’s visionary, results-oriented leadership and proven track record of delivering value through cloud-based technology solutions were an impressive match for our president opportunity.”

Leiferman brings to TEAM a great mix of leadership, inspiration, operational experience, technical breadth and passion for the client. In addition, he has proven success in increasing sales, profitability, client satisfaction and employee engagement in his previous roles.

“On behalf of the executive team, I am very excited to welcome John as our new president,” said Jill Davie, TEAM’s senior vice president of client experience. “He quickly stood out from the pool of candidates because of his broad yet applicable experience. His commitment to customers and support for our employee-ownership culture was also very apparent through the interview process. We look forward to working with John to continue TEAM’s success.”

Leiferman was with Schneider Electric and its predecessor companies (DTN/TelventDTN) for twenty years, serving in various operating roles, including chief operating officer (COO), chief financial officer (CFO) and president of DTN and TelventDTN. His most recent role was senior vice president for cloud services for Schneider Electric Global Solutions, where he was responsible for the growth of existing Software as a Service business units within Schneider Electric and the incubation of new offers following the SaaS business model.

Prior to DTN, Leiferman spent ten years at the accounting firm of Deloitte & Touche in several positions, including senior tax manager specializing in tax and business planning for mid-market companies. Leiferman has also worked as controller at Travel and Transport, a national employee-owned travel agency. He earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and is a certified public accountant (CPA).

“I’m looking forward to being immersed in TEAM’s employee-ownership culture,” said Leiferman. “I’m also very happy to be continuing my career at a smaller, dynamic company in Omaha. I could really feel the passion of TEAM employees through my interaction with them, and I’m looking forward to building winning solutions for TEAM’s clients together.”
