Tesla has awarded a new three-year contract to Brilliant General Maintenance (BGM) for continued janitorial services across the company’s Bay Area offices and facilities. BGM, an SEIU-affiliated janitorial company, has been a supplier for the Silicon Valley-based electric vehicle and sustainable energy company since 2015, and the new contract takes effect this month.

“We are proud to continue our work with Tesla and, as a result, provide good jobs for hundreds of employees,” said BGM CEO and President Daniel Montes. “BGM works hard to provide reliable service, a cutting-edge approach and a worry-free guarantee to leading companies like Tesla and is experiencing unrivaled growth of our business and workforce in California.”

Nearly 300 BGM employees currently provide janitorial services throughout Tesla’s Bay Area offices and facilities, including Tesla's Fremont factory where all Tesla vehicles are manufactured. The new contract encompasses all of the same Tesla Bay Area facilities. BGM was selected following a formal Request for Proposal in which several other supplier applications were considered by Tesla.

Tesla’s mission is to accelerate the world toward sustainable energy through its electric vehicles and sustainable energy products. Tesla employs more than 37,000 individuals globally and more than 19,000 in California. The company is headquartered in Palo Alto, California, and is the largest manufacturing employer in the State of California.
