Toronto Skyline with purple light - Toronto, Ontario, Canada

Valentine's Day is all about love, which is why people living in Toronto's CityPlace Neighborhood will use Feb. 14 as a time to show their fondness for the janitors who clean their buildings.

Lead by Husain Neemuchwala, who lives in a condo building in the area, people are banding together to provide lunch for about 200 staff members across 30 different buildings in CityPlace, reports blogTO. Certificates for free meals from Fox & Fiddle, Roses New York, Roywoods and Taste D West Indies will be evenly distributed to the property managers at the condominium buildings, who will then hand them out to hungry workers. Roywoods told blogTO that it wants to thank janitors, which it views at the true foundation of CityPlace.

Neemuchwala said the initiative could spread beyond CityPlace to other areas of the large Canadian city.
