Found to be a stellar tool in disinfecting facilities, such as hospitals, it’s easy to see why many favor ultraviolet lights. That favoritism is now highlighted by a recent report on the sale of these devices.

The market for ultraviolet (UV) infection control devices is expected to explode over the coming years, according to Zion Market Research. The report suggests the revenue in the UV infection control device market will reach $5.5 billion globally by 2025. The market was at just $1.6 billion in 2016.

The study also states that mobile and stationary devices are the most popular form of UV infection control devices. The mobile type, in particular, is more popular and is expected to remain the top choice over the coming years.

Zion Market Research projects that North America (particularly the United States) will continue to drive the market for UV infection control devices.
