UniFirst Named Best Company To Work For

UniFirst Corporation, provider of work uniforms and facility services to businesses throughout the U.S. and Canada, was once again named one of Florida’s “Best Companies to Work For.” UniFirst serves over 300,000 business customer locations through 250 facilities, with several in Florida including Fort Myers, Fort Pierce, Jacksonville, Miami, Ocala, Orlando, Panama City, Pompano Beach, Tallahassee, Tampa, and Titusville.

The annual Best Companies list appears in the August 2018 issue of Florida Trend magazine. One hundred companies are ranked in small, medium, and large employer categories. UniFirst has earned this recognition for five straight years, coming in sixth this year in the large employer category.

To participate, companies or government entities had to employ at least 15 workers in Florida and have been in operation at least one year. Companies that chose to participate underwent an evaluation of their workplace policies, practices, philosophy, systems, and demographics. The process also included a survey to measure employee satisfaction. The combined scores determined the top companies and the final ranking.

The “Best Companies to Work For” honor helps round out a string of accolades UniFirst has recently earned, including “50 Best Companies to Sell For in North America” designation by Selling Power magazine and Apparel magazine’s “Top 50 Apparel Companies” list.
