MBS Dev announces that it has been recognized by Microsoft through its parent company, United Stationers Supply Co., with the 2012 Cloud Transformation Award as part of the Microsoft Dynamics Customer Excellence Awards program.

Through the acquisition of Microsoft Gold Certified Partner MBS Dev two years ago, United Stationers was able to leverage an industry‐proven distribution solution and optimize it for the cloud, putting enterprise‐class technology within the reach of small and medium‐sized office products dealers.

“Our organization is a nationwide independent dealer cooperative with hundreds of service locations,” said Kevin France, vice president of national accounts, Independent Stationers. “With nearly 200 participating dealers jointly servicing the public sector through a single, integrated platform, the MBS Dev and Dynamics solution has enabled us to grow our business while servicing a variety of customer needs.”

The 2012 Customer Excellence Awards, which are presented in 9 categories, recognize and celebrate Microsoft Dynamics customers that have achieved notable accomplishments using their Microsoft Dynamics solutions. United Stationers and MBS Dev were honored by Microsoft executives at an awards luncheon on Monday, March 19, at Convergence 2012 Houston, the premier Microsoft Dynamics user conference.

“It is an honor to be recognized by Microsoft for our cloud solution,” said Dave Bent, chief information officer, United Stationers, Inc. “We are pleased that with MBS Dev and Microsoft Dynamics we are able to help our dealer community grow and operate their businesses more profitably.”

“Leveraging multi‐tenant architecture enables independent dealers to take advantage of Microsoft Dynamics and specialized industry functionality without the capital and staff investments typical of an ERP implementation,” said Paul Hesser, chief operating officer, MBS Dev. “Optimized for the cloud, the MBS Dev solution is extremely repeatable and will scale with dealers as their businesses grow.”
