The German Federal Guild Association of the Cleaning Trade and the Messe Berlin release details to the advanced program of the WFBSC Congress, which will be taking place this year from September 18 to 20 in Berlin for the first time. The congress will be opened by EU Commissioner Günther Oettinger.
The proceedings will be opened by Federal Guild Master Thomas Dietrich, who has also presided as President of the WFBSC since April of last year. Further distinguished opening speakers include Berlin Mayor Ramona Pop and EFCI President Yvan Fieremans.
The Internet activist and former Wikileaks spokesman Daniel Domscheit-Berg will share his perspectives concerning the opportunities and risks involved in digital networking. Changing business strategies in the digital age will comprise part of his focus along with the challenges presented by Internet platforms and the impact of the Internet on facility management service related processes, management issues and general working conditions.
Thomas Dietrich will challenge participants from Germany and abroad to work together at the congress toward finding answers to the questions their various enterprises pose concerning digitalization. Among the topics addressed will be the question as to what consequences digitalization will have upon service processes and performance, the extent to which the significance of knowledge acquisition and usage of stored data will continue to develop, but also the shape that working with clients might take in the future.
Two top-notch podium discussions led by esteemed practitioners from industrial, trade and service enterprises will address the implications of digitalization for everyday business practices and the challenges the future presents.
The accompanying fringe events promise plenty of room for networking and lively exchange. Together with the Messe Berlin, the Federal Association of Guilds invites all participants to attend the opening ceremony at the Hotel InterContinental on September 17, to take part in Premium Sponsors Night on September 18 following a boating excursion, to attend the Purus Innovation Awards ceremony at the CMS Evening on September 19 and to enjoy the crowning gala dinner at the Palais am Funkturm on September 20.
For its accompanying person program, the congress offers the flair of the two closely proximate state capital cities Berlin and Potsdam, thus conjoining history, culture and fashion with both bygone eras and the contemporary landscape.
Registration for the congress at the preferential rate is still possible until July 27, 2017: the fee is 1,200 Euros for congress participants and 550 Euros for accompanying persons. As of July 28, 2017, the fees will be raised to the full price of 1,500 Euros and 600 Euros respectively. Registration is possible online at www.wfbsc2017.berlin . The advanced program details are available in both German and English as a flip-book and per download at this Website.
