Waterless Co., Inc. announces they have joined the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA), which represents more than 4,000 facility, supplier, and individual members from more than 90 countries, including most of the amusement parks and attractions in the United States.
Along with amusement parks and attractions, members of the IAAPA include such facilities as theme parks, waterparks, family entertainment centers, zoos, aquariums, museums, science centers, resorts, and casinos.
The IAAPA dates back to the early 1900s and was formed to be a collective voice for the amusement park industry. The organization is very involved with regulatory and social issues that impact its membership including healthcare, environmental, and safety concerns.
According to Niki Bradley, marketing manager for Waterless Co., one of the reasons her company joined the IAAPA is that “they are taking significant steps to help make amusement park facilities safer, Greener, and more sustainable, which are goals we share.”
Bradley also indicates that more and more amusement parks are installing no-water urinal systems, especially here in the United States and Asia.
“Most amusement park owners realize using water efficiently and responsibly is not only good for the environment, [it’s] a bread-and-butter issue as well,” she says. “The cost of water throughout the country is surging and these facilities want to do whatever they can to mitigate the impact of these costs.”
