SCA Tissue Announces Plans For New Engineering/Design Center

Philadelphia-based SCA Tissue North America has announced plans for a new engineering/design center in Philadelphia. The center will help drive innovation in the company’s dispenser systems and the space will be LEED Certified.

RDA Advantage, Littleton, Colo., added Houston-based G.F. Lasswell Co., Inc., to its organization.

Multi-Clean, Shoreview, Minn., was named the recipient of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) Environmental Award.

MERGERS & ACQUISITIONS

Central Sanitary Supply, Modesto, Calif., has acquired Rite Line Supply, Visalia, Calif.

The combined organizations will operate as Central Sanitary Supply with the transition of all Rite Line Employees to Central.

Enviro-Solutions Inc., Peterborough, Ontario, has entered into a joint venture/strategic marketing and production agreement with Nuance Solutions., Chicago.

Under the terms of the agreement, Nuance Solutions will manufacture and market Enviro-Solutions products for delivery to the western half of the United States.

DadePaper, Miami, has acquired Saramana Wholesale, Sarasota, Fla. Kelly Stutzman, president of Saramana will remain with the company along with a majority of the staff as operations transition to DadePaper’s Orlando Branch.

Fred Kalbrosky has joined WAXIE Sanitary Supply, San Diego, as sanitary maintenance consultant for the company.

Steve Schultz was promoted to group president of Lagasse Inc., and ORS Nasco Inc., Deerfield, Ill. Todd Shelton was promoted to president of Lagasse Inc.

Miami-based Atlas Paper has named Ed Gagliardi executive vice president of sales and marketing. He has over 30 years of experience in the janitorial and foodservice industries.

Michael Dominguez has joined F-MATIC Inc., Lehi, Utah, as sales manager of the janitorial supplies division. Dominguez will concentrate his effort in increasing the company’s market share within the jan/san industry.

R3 Safety, Wilmington, Ohio, has appointed Jim Walker to the position of general manager.

R. James Alexy, CEO of Network Services Co., Mt. Prospect, Ill., was awarded the Stanley O. Styles Industry Excellence Award. The award is given annually to an individual who demonstrated leadership and innovation within the National Paper Trade Association’s Alliance Industries.
