The Soap and Detergent Association (SDA), Washington, D.C., elected William Littlefield and Janice Mabe to the SDA Board Of Directors. Littlefield is the executive vice president and general manager of branded products for The Sun Products Corp., Salt Lake City. Mabe is the vice president for Intermediaries Americas, Huntsman Corp., Salt Lake City.

Spartan Chemical Co., Inc., Maumee, Ohio promoted Jason Paschall to regional manager for the company’s Oklahoma region.

Alwin Mfg. Co., Inc., Green Bay, Wis., named Douglas C. Newby as sales and marketing manager. He has over 20 years of domestic and international sales and marketing experience.

Gulf Coast Paper, Victoria, Texas has hired Don Dempski as director of national accounts.

Dempski has over 23 years of industry experience, most recently as the senior global account manager, Central America, for AFFLINK.

Dri-Eaz, Burlington, Wash., hired Mark Wierda as senior account manager. He has more than 25 years of industry-related experience.

The company also announced the hiring of Keith Armstrong as a new sales account manager. He has a background in sales, marketing and business development.

Keith Schneringer, marketing manager, Waxie Sanitary Supply, San Diego, has been re-elected president of the U.S. Green Building Council-San Diego Chapter.

Maumee, Ohio-based Spartan Chemical Co., Inc., recently hosted 34 professionals at the company’s Green Cleaning Specialist Certification Program. Special focus was placed on green cleaning and sustainability initiatives. Each attendee earned the title, “Spartan Green Cleaning Specialist.”

Network Services Co., opened their new headquarters in Schaumburg, Ill. The new location has 45 percent more office space than the previous location in Mt. Prospect, Ill.

SCA, the parent company of Philadelphia-based SCA Tissue North America has been recognized by Corporate Knights Inc., as one of the world’s top 100 sustainable companies.

The list is comprised of companies from 15 countries. Companies were evaluated based on their effectiveness in dealing with environmental and social issues. This is the fifth consecutive year SCA has been named to the list.

Stefco Industries, Haines City, Fla., has announced the opening of its second paper mill at the Haines City plant.

Rubbermaid Commercial Products, Winchester, Va., won “Today’s Facility Manager Magazine” Readers’ Choice Award as the number one brand in the Maintenance/Cleaning Product category.
