SCA Tissue North America, Philadelphia, donated $10,000 and wiper products to Philadelphia Academies Inc.'s West Philly Hybrid X Team, based at the West Philadelphia High School Academy for Automotive and Mechanical Engineering. The donations will help the group of inner-city high school students in their efforts to design, build and sell a super-efficient car for the Progressive Insurance Automotive X Prize global competition.

Network Services Co., Schaumburg, Ill., named Georgia-Pacific Professional, Atlanta, as its 2009 Supplier of the Year.

M.D. Stetson, Randolph, Mass., is one of 17 Massachusetts companies being recognized by legislators and the Toxics Use Reduction Act (TURA) Program as a "TURA 20th Anniversary Leader."

Pro-Link, Canton, Mass., recognized KSS Enterprises, Kalamazoo, Mich., as 2009 Distributor of the Year and Golden Star, Kansas City, Mo., as 2009 Supplier of the Year. The buying group also honored Banks Industries, Huntsville, Ala., with the Brand Champion Award.

Avmor Ltd., Laval, Quebec, Canada, received ISO 14001:2004 Certification (Environmental Management Systems) for design and manufacturing of chemical products for maintenance and industrial, institutional and domestic markets.

St. Louis-based Emerson, the parent company of ProTeam, Boise, Idaho, received a 2009 Beyond Green High-Performance Building Award from the Sustainable Buildings Industry Council. In addition, the company's Global Data Center on the St. Louis headquarters campus was certified LEED Gold.

Distributor Partners of America (DPA), Cincinnati, recognized Gem Chemical Co., Evansville, Ind., as its 2009 Distributor of the Year and the von Drehle Corp., Hickory, N.C., as its 2009 Supplier of the Year.

The Malish Corp., Willoughby, Ohio, has been awarded the ABMA (American Brush Manufacturers Association) 2010 William Cordes Innovation Excellence Award for its Diamabrush Floor Preparation System. The award is given to recognize outstanding innovation in the manufacture of products, components or services in the Broom, Brush, Mop and Roller Industry.

Diamond Chemical, East Rutherford, N.J., added Bob Wilkinson as technical sales representative for commercial laundry facilities in the New England region.
