Spartan Chemical Co., Inc., Maumee, Ohio, promoted Jerred Attanasio to regional sales manager for the North Carolina region and Scott McKelvey to regional sales manager for the Oregon region.

CFR, a division of St. Louis-based Tacony Corp., hired Doug Berjer as brand manager.

R.J. Schinner Co., Inc., New Berlin, Wis., hired Chris Orbaugh as territory manager and key account development. He is responsible for the Indiana market.

Nilfisk-Advance Inc., Plymouth, Minn., announced several personnel moves: Steve Dick was hired as director of marketing for US Floor Care (USFC), Tom Paustenbach was hired as financial controller for USFC; and Chris Black was hired as director of national accounts for USFC.

USFC includes Advance, Clarke and Kent brands.

Diamond Chemical, East Rutherford, N.J., added Tom Harpham as regional sales manager for the Northern California/ Nevada area.

Network Services Co., Schaumburg, Ill., promoted Kevin L. Rudd chief marketing officer.

The company also announced the addition of Monica Saviano as market manager to the marketing team.

Multi-Clean Inc., Shoreview, Minn has committed to be an ISSA Green Connections Supporter in 2010. The designation entitles Multi-Clean to exhibit in the Green Connections Showcase during this year's ISSA/INTERCLEAN Show in Orlando, Fla.

Kimberly-Clark Corp. achieved LEED for Existing Buildings: Operations and Maintenance (LEED:EBOM) certification for its Kimberly-Clark Professional headquarters building (Building 100) in Roswell, Ga.

In other company news, to commemorate more than 25 years in Corinth, Miss., Kimberly-Clark Mill manager R. Martin Massey presented a $42,000 check to the Corinth High School Environmental Club in sponsorship of the school's ÒGreen WayÓ project, which will plant trees and install landscaping to curb erosion of school grounds, create outdoor classrooms, promote environmental education and sustainability concepts, and expand student-led recycling programs in Corinth schools, at the Kimberly-Clark Corinth Mill and in the Corinth community.

Diversey Inc., Sturtevant, Wis., announced that three of its facilities at its global headquarters campus achieved LEED for Existing Buildings certification.

Rubbermaid Commercial Products (RCP), Winchester, Va., has signed a charter partnership agreement with the Recycling Organizations of North America. (RONA). Rubbermaid has made a multi-year commitment to boost waste diversion, promote corporate commitment and responsibility, and offer discounts on more than 400 products.

RONA and Rubbermaid are also working together on take-back programs for spent containers, better container design and production, and best management practices to share.

The O'Dell Corp., Ware Shoals, S.C., received the 2009 Network Rising Star Award from Schaumburg, Ill.-based Network Services Co. and the member companies of Network Associates Inc.

AFFLINK, Tuscaloosa, Ala., announced the addition of four new members: Leland Paper Co., Inc., Glens Falls, N.Y.; U.S. Safety Depot, Indianapolis; Memphis Chemical & Janitorial Supply Co., Memphis, Tenn.; and Circle Janitorial Supplies Inc., Paterson, N.J.

F-MATIC Inc., Salt Lake City, was honored by the Utah Genius Awards. The company tied for 14th place among all trademark registrants in the State of Utah, with seven trademarks registered in 2009 alone.

Cascades Tissue Group, Waterford, N.Y., received an innovation prize at the CRFA (Canadian Restaurant and Foodservice Association) Show in Toronto. The company was the runner up for the most innovative product with its Intelligent Paper.

Unisource Worldwide Inc., Norcross, Ga., recently honored three suppliers as winners of the first Unisource Worldwide Supplier Sustainability Awards. Domtar Corp., Montreal, Quebec, Canada was selected for paper; 3M, St. Paul, Minn., for packaging; and Diversey Inc., Sturtevant, Wis., for facility supplies.

The companies received their awards at Unisource's second Supplier Sustainability Symposium held in Atlanta.

Chicago-based Morton Salt, a K + S Group company, was awarded the Walmart Supplier Collaboration Award of the Year for their performance supplying packaged ice melters to Walmart's Hardlines group at the 2010 National Replenishment Summit. Morton was one of four Walmart vendors to receive the award.

MERGERS AND OTHER MOVES

ULC Standards, a Northbrook, Ill.-based independent, not-for-profit standards development organization, acquired majority ownership of TerraChoice, Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, the exclusive manager of the EcoLogo green certification program. TerraChoice joins UL Environment as part of the Underwriters Laboratories global network. TerraChoiceÕs Canadian operations, office location and staff will remain in place. Financial details of the transaction were not disclosed.

eCommerce Industries Inc. (ECi), Fort Worth, Texas, has acquired substantially all the assets of Acsellerate, Alexandria, Va., a subscription-based sales intelligence service.

R.J. Schinner Co., Inc., New Berlin, Wis., expanded its operations with a new location in Dallas. The facility will service customers in Texas, Oklahoma and Louisiana.

Paul Schinner was rehired as branch manager.
