Over 2,000 Flock to Supply Line 02
The New Jersey Sanitary Supply Associations (NJSSA) Supply Line 2002 fell during a time when people were still concerned about trade show turnout. Would people show up? The answer for this show, held in May in Atlantic City, N.J., was yes, said Barbara Casse-Bender, executive director of NJSSA. She was happy to announce there were more attendees than at the last show held in 2000 more than 2,000, and nearly 200 exhibitors.
One exhibitor turned to me after the first day and said, Even if nobody shows up tomorrow, this is great, Casse-Bender said. One manufacturer said he had gotten over 400 leads.
This was the first year Supply Line was open to end users. However, only about 300 cleaning professionals attended a disappointment to some exhibitors. However, Casse-Bender says it wasnt for lack of effort. The association mailed thousands of invitations, but the end-user turnout wasnt as strong as anticipated.
It was our first year and hopefully in 2004 we can get more people.
Comments about the show were positive, Casse-Bender added. There was a good representation of exhibitors on the regional, national and international levels. There were distributors from 13 or 14 states.
