It absolutely amazes me how quickly things can change. Here we are, tossed into a new year (and finally a new millennium for those sticklers for detail). We have a new president (again, finally) with a new outlook, and a clean business slate. On a more personal note, I've had the good fortune of becoming editor of this magazine, which definitely is providing its share of fresh and exciting challenges.
And I'm honored to be taking on the responsibilities of the position. SM's readers are ambitious, intelligent and highly successful businesspeople. I look forward to working with you all more closely.
And I am here to serve you, so feel free to keep me posted on anything you think deserves SM's attention.
Difficult challenges, if met, always reward you with a sense of accomplishment. That said, I proudly present you the complete 2001 Buyer's Guide. A chock-full resource, this issue is designed to be used as a reference year-round. Please do.
Over the years, SM's staff has carefully fashioned the most comprehensive buyer's guide available for the jan/san industry. For me, this issue marks the beginning of an exciting new endeavor ? maintaining SM's renowned quality and the lasting relationships my predecessors have molded. My intent is to continue to seek new ways to keep SM's readers in the know and at the top of their games.
