Malaysia Exhibition has Uniform Success
Clean Asia Show 2003 took place in late February in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. In all, 2,500 people attended Clean Asia from around the world to see 80 exhibitors unveil the hottest innovations in cleaning technology. Attendance was comprised of 75 percent Malaysians and 25 percent international visitors, mainly from Singapore and Thailand.
One highlight that contrasted with U.S. trade shows was the Clean Asia Fashion Show, which featured uniforms for indoor and outdoor cleaners. According to Clean Asia sources, there was a good mix of cleaning uniforms: solid twill cotton, batik fabric, Malaysian Songket fabric and even silk.
EnviroDri, a manufacturer of dry carpet cleaning systems and supplies in the United Kingdom, reported a favorable business climate at the trade show. This has been a pleasant surprise for us, said Craig Philips of EnviroDri. What stuck out was that those who visited us were serious buyers and we had plenty of orders right at our booth.
EUROPROPRE Attracts Interest from Abroad
The Eighth Exhibition for Cleaning and Hygiene Solutions, EUROPROPRE 2003, welcomed 17,062 visitors to Paris expo Porte de Versailles in France from March 11-14. Although overall attendance dropped by 6 percent compared with 2002, there was an 11.5 percent increase in the number of foreign visitors.
