NAW Partners with Fein, Pembroke, to Face the Forces of Change
The sixth edition of the report “Facing the Forces of Change,” often referred to as the bible of manufacturer-distributor relationships, is due to be released in October, according to the National Association of Wholesaler-Distributors (NAW), Washington. The research report’s author is Adam Fein, Ph.D., president of Pembroke Consulting, Philadelphia. Subtitled “Future Scenarios for Wholesale Distribution,” this edition of the report focuses on the strained partnership between manufacturers and distributors in light of the new demands caused by e-business.

“Manufacturers and distributors are at odds about the impact of e-business on their channel relationships,” says Fein. “This will slow the adoption of e-business solutions because both groups are approaching technology investments with divergent perspectives.”

The study was funded by the Distribution Research and Education Foundation (DREF), which is part of NAW, a national trade association that represents the wholesale distribution industry. Visit www.naw.org for availability and ordering information.
