For the first time, the International Sanitary Supply Association (ISSA) has enlisted the help of the Industrial Distribution Association (IDA) in its quest to bring relevant sales education to jan/san distributors attending ISSA’s annual district meetings. The meetings are scheduled to take place from March 11 to June 24 in 16 major cities throughout the United States and Canada.

In addition to gaining information about new ISSA events and resources, district meeting attendees will participate in an intensive sales workshop led by Dr. Michael Workman, popular author, national speaker and professor emeritus with Texas A&M University’s industrial distribution faculty. The workshop, titled “The Art of Negotiating: How to Increase Your Selling Success,” is designed to help sales representatives, managers, manufacturer representatives, wholesalers and inside sales staff hone their selling skills. Some of the tools offered by the seminar are “no-fault” negotiating, relationship management, and sales measurement techniques.

ISSA’s registration fee for the event is $85 per person, and most workshops will run from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., including a luncheon where attendees can network with other sanitary supply colleagues. To find the city hosting a district meeting near you, visit ISSA’s website.
