Former owner of Salt Lake City-based Lovinger Co. and former ISSA president Jules R. Lovinger passed away July 1, 2009, at the age of 95. Lovinger joined his family's janitorial-supply business in 1931, and upon the retirement of his brother, Lee, became the firm's owner and president. Jules was elected president of ISSA in 1948. He retired in 1981, and in 1984, his company merged with WAXIE Sanitary Supply, San Diego.
