More than 16,000 industry professionals will head to the bayou of New Orleans for ISSA/INTERCLEAN® USA 2004. Attendees will have the opportunity to peruse the newest and best products and services manufacturers have to offer. They’ll also have the chance to hobnob with jan/san peers and participate in myriad educational and training opportunities. This year’s convention touts itself as the “ONE SHOW,” bringing International Sanitary Supply Association (ISSA) members together from around the world.

This year’s show, which runs from November 16-19, will be held at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center, located on the banks of the Mississippi River. Its prime location — within walking distance of the famous French Quarter — will give convention-goers easy access to the excitement of the “Big Easy” after the show closes each day.

Highlights of the show include a keynote speech by former U.S. President George H. W. Bush on Wednesday morning, November 17. Bush will discuss his views on the current economic and political environment, and the need for strong leadership in business.

Another draw for distributors is ISSA’s jam-packed seminar lineup. This year, the Distributor Educational Conference seminars on Tuesday, November 16, will begin at noon, instead of 8 a.m., based on feedback from distributors at last year’s show. The later start time will allow attendees to arrive in New Orleans Tuesday morning if they prefer, saving money on hotel and other travel expenses. ISSA will also bring back its popular Women’s Forum for a third year, with Sara Laschever, co-author of Women Don’t Ask: Negotiation and the Gender Divide.

As in past years, on Wednesday, only distributors will have access to the trade-show floor to meet with exhibitors. Thursday and Friday, the show is open to all members of the cleaning industry, including building service contractors and in-house professionals.
