The New Jersey Sanitary Supply Association (NJSSA) was out once again in full force lending a helping hand by cleaning a New Jersey-based non-profit organization.

On May 19, NJSSA sponsored its 15th Annual “Operation Clean Sweep,” which took place at HomeFront in Lawrenceville, N.J.

Armed with donations of cleaning supplies and equipment from 20 NJSSA member companies, over 25 NJSSA members and their friends and family members volunteered to clean the HomeFront facility.

“Once again our members came through for us with their dollars, supplies, and most importantly their time to help this community program,” said Dan Rubinstein, NJSSA trustee and chair of the Social Outreach Committee.

HomeFront provides food, housing, furniture, after-school care and many social services for those without homes and in need.

The facility was selected by the NJSSA board of trustees after Rubinstein and Fred Schimanski, NJSSA board president, visited the facility and met with the organization’s leaders.

“We felt their outreach to the Trenton, N.J., area community was deserving of an Operation Clean Sweep facelift and we wanted to bring them much-needed cleaning and food supplies to help families who do not have a home to go to,” said Schimanski.

With another successful Operation Clean Sweep completed, Rubenstein said that the increasing support from NJSSA members will likely lead to another successful volunteer effort next year.

“Operation Clean Sweep was established to enhance the quality of life within New Jersey communities,” said Rubenstein. “NJSSA members have been incredibly supportive of Operation Clean Sweep in the past and we know they will continue to help us in the future.”
