Terry Donald Schawe was promoted to COO of Kaivac Inc.

Philadelphia-based PAK-IT LLC hired Ron Kurp as vice president of operations and technical director. The company also hired Frank Wiley as vice president of marketing.

ECi Software Solutions, Fort Worth, Texas, promoted Traci Johnson to senior vice president, global corporate marketing. In her new role, Johnson will oversee marketing across all of the company’s product lines and business units.

Enviro-Solutions, Peterborough, Ontario, Canada, awarded Lori Fuller, a distributor sales rep with Swish-Kenko, Utica, N.Y., the Outstanding Sales Achievement Award.

The United Group (TUG), Monroe, La., announced the election of Thad Ellington, president, PFS Sales Co., Raleigh, N.C., to its Board of Directors. Ellington has held the position of TUG executive vice president, Foodservice Committee, from 2007 to the present.

Unisource Worldwide Inc., Norcross, Ga., appointed Stephen Mohr to director of packaging-marketing and Eric Walter to vice president of finance.

APC Filtration Inc., Ancaster, Ontario, Canada, has hired Chris Williams as global business development manager for APC’s OEM filter division. He will work from the Commerce Township, Mich., office and be responsible for industrial, commercial and domestic appliance air filter sales.

Spartan Chemical Co., Inc., Maumee, Ohio, recently announced several promotions: John Willis Swigart to executive vice president, James R. Leonardson to executive vice president of operations, David Cox to general sales manager, Johnny Ortiz to regional sales manager for the company’s Caribbean region and Jamie Brown to regional manager for the company’s western Florida region.

Waterbury Companies Inc., Waterbury, Conn., named Robert Potvin as executive vice president. He will oversee North American Hygiene Sales for the TimeMist Brand.

The company also promoted Leslie Sampson to general sales manager — Canada. She will represent all WATCO brands.

St. Louis-based Emerson has acquired ProTeam, Boise, Idaho. ProTeam will become part of the globally operating Emerson Professional Tools platform. The acquisition provides ProTeam with new growth opportunities and synergies through complementary product portfolios, channels and operations.

Service Paper Co., Renton, Wash., acquired Easy Packaging Northwest, Spokane, Wash. Larry Baker, president of Easy Packaging and a number of other Easy Packaging employees will join Service Paper.

Tennant Co., Minneapolis, entered into a strategic partnership with All-Lines Leasing, Eden Prairie, Minn., to provide preferred-rate financing programs to the commercial and municipal markets served by the Tennant and Nobles brand distributors.
