Betco Corp., Toledo, Ohio, recognized Regional Managers Allen Halstead, Phil Davis, Paul Kaup, Paul Hopkins, Steve Hanneke and Division Manager Jeff Iverson with 2010 Pacesetter Awards. Iverson also received the Terry Evans Award, the most prestigious sales recognition that Betco awards.


The O'Dell Corp., Ware Shoals, S.C., added three team members: J. Edward Robertson as a regional sales manager for the company's Eastern region manufacturer's representative network; Michael Wiedemann as a sales representative for Southeastern region manufacturer's representatives; and Jenny Ashley as a customer service representative.

Men Who Dare Inc., named Hercules Jefferson, Sr., CEO of Hercules & Hercules Inc., Detroit, its Man of the Year for his outstanding contribution in helping local youth. Through donations, Jefferson has helped award more than 500 scholarships. He also recently donated 1,400 cases of floor finish to help make Detroit school floors shine before the new school year.

More than 145 Roswell, Ga.-based Kimberly-Clark Professional Green Patrol volunteers cleaned up a one-square-mile area at the Lake Mead National Recreation Area in Nevada. In addition, volunteers assembled bicycles in Lake Las Vegas to donate to at-risk youth in Henderson, Nev., through Boys & Girls Clubs of America. To further support both efforts, the company donated $5,000 to the National Park Service and $5,000 to Boys & Girls Clubs of America.

GOJO Industries, Akron, Ohio, has bought the PURELL brand from Johnson & Johnson Consumer Products Company Division of Johnson & Johnson Consumer Companies, Inc. With this transaction, GOJO once again has ownership of the PURELL brand.

Witt Industries, Cincinnati, announced TRC Marketing Inc., Denver, as its newest representative. TRC will represent Witt products in Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado, Utah and Wyoming.

CNA, the insurance company that covers Maumee, Ohio-based Spartan Chemical Co., Inc.'s physical facility, presented Spartan with the Leadership in Safety Award.

The buying group also recently marked its 50th Anniversary of service to the industry while at the ISSA/INTERCLEAN show in Orlando, Fla.

The Procter & Gamble Co., Cincinnati, unveiled a long-term environmental sustainability vision that includes: powering its plants with 100 percent renewable energy; using 100 percent renewable or recycled materials for all products and packaging; having zero consumer and manufacturing waste go to landfills; and designing products that conserve resources.
